On 14 September 2023, Mr. Nattaphong Sitthichai, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of Thailand to Ireland, presided over the Opening Ceremony of the Photo Exhibition “Reimagining Thailand Through the Irish Lens: Entertainment, Innovation, and Sustainability”. On this occasion, Ms. Olivia Leslie, Asia Pacific Regional Director, Department of Foreign Affairs of Ireland, attended the event as guest of honour. The event was well attended by representatives from the Irish public and private sectors, the Thai Trade Center London, the Tourism Authority of Thailand London Office, as well as members of the Thai community in Ireland, and leading Irish media.

This Exhibition was a collaborative effort of the Royal Thai Embassy, London and the University College Dublin (UCD), which recruited two young, talented UCD student photographers to travel to Thailand on a trip funded by the Embassy, to capture their experiences in the country and to convey them through this photo exhibition. This exhibition has helped promote a better understanding of Thailand in three key dimensions: (1) the beauty of local Thai food and Thai culture under the theme entertainment; (2) technological advancements and innovation especially green technology under the theme innovation; and (3) green innovation and the implementation of Thailand’s Bio Circular Green (BCG) economic model for the country’s sustainable future under the theme sustainability. The Exhibition was held at the Atrium, Arnotts Department Store, Dublin between 14 - 30 September 2023.
