On 28 May 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in London organised an orientation session for vendors participating in the Thai Festival: Thailand Showcase 2026 at the Embassy. Approximately 50 participants, including Thai restaurant operators, Thai product vendors, and representatives from relevant organisations, attended the briefing.
On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Nadhavathna Krishnamra, Ambassador of Thailand to the UK thanked all entrepreneurs and stakeholders for their continued support of the Embassy’s activities and highlighted the important role of Thai businesses in promoting Thailand’s identity, culture, and creativity to the international public. The Ambassador shared that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has adopted the unified branding “Thai Festival” for Thai festivals organised worldwide. In 2026, Thai Festivals are being held in 43 cities around the world under the theme “Creative Life and Creative Heartbeat,” of which London has been selected as one of the 12 flagship cities for the global Thai Festival programme, reflecting the significance of London as a venue.
Thai Festival: Thailand Showcase 2026 will take place from 17–19 July 2026 at Potters Fields Park, located next to Tower Bridge, one of London’s iconic landmarks. The new venue has been selected to accommodate a larger number of visitors and to showcase the presentation of Thai culture in the heart of London. In addition to food and product stalls by Thai entrepreneurs, highlight of the event will include the “Chud Thai” exhibition showcasing the royal initiatives of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother in preserving and promoting Thai traditional attire, in support of the Royal Thai Government’s effort to nominate Chud Thai or the traditional Thai attire for inclusion on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Other include Muay Thai and neck massage workshops and fashion shows. The event will be open to the public free of charge.
