On 14 October 2025, Ambassador Nadhavathna Krishnamra co-chaired a roundtable meeting at the Royal Thai Embassy with the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand (BCCT). The Thai side included members of Team Thailand in London responsible for economic affairs, namely the Minister (Commercial), Minister (Economic and Financial), Minister (Customs) based in Brussels, Minister Counsellor (Investment) based in Paris,
and a representative from the Bank of Thailand, London office.

The private sector was led by Ms. Pinyapa Sompong, Chair of BCCT, together with
the BCCT executive team and representatives from member companies including HSBC, Prudential, Shell, King’s College International School Bangkok, Wellington College International, OCS ROH Ltd., and Kaiku. Lord Vaizey of Didcot, Chair of the UK-ASEAN Business Council, also participated.

This event was the first roundtable jointly organised by the Royal Thai Embassy and BCCT, aimed at exchanging information and views on business opportunities and challenges in Thailand. The discussion covered key issues related to doing business in Thailand across various sectors, including energy, infrastructure, insurance, banking, and education, as well as ways to promote and facilitate investment in Thailand. The Embassy and BCCT plan to hold regular meetings on a quarterly basis, either in person or virtually, to help propel the momentum of economic relations between Thailand and the UK.

Following the roundtable, Ambassador Krishnamra delivered opening remarks at the networking session between Thai and British businesses and Team Thailand in London.
The event welcomed around 80 participants, including UK businesses interested in doing business with Thailand and Thai entrepreneurs based in the UK. It provided an opportunity for Thai and British businesses to connect and served as a platform to further strengthen trade and investment partnership between Thailand and the UK.
