Chairman of WBC Muay Thai UK Discusses Initiatives to Promote Muay Thai in the UK with the Ambassador of Thailand to the UK

On 7 August 2026, Ambassador Nadhavathna Krishnamra welcomed Mr. Nash Keshwala, Chairman of WBC Muay Thai UK, at the Royal Thai Embassy in London. Also present were Ms. Kritsana Chonweerawong, Minister, Mr. Jirakarn Bejrajati, Minister (Commercial Affairs), Mr. Charubhumi Ruangsuwan, Minister Counsellor and Mrs. Ornwijit Chantrangsri, Counsellor.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on promoting and raising the profile of Muay Thai in the UK. The Chairman of WBC Muay Thai UK shared the WBC’s plans of a Muay Thai Masterclass and Muay Thai Rising Stars competition for youth under the age of 18 in London in November 2026. The initiatives aim to enhance young people's knowledge and skills in Muay Thai while inspiring the new generation to appreciate this unique aspect of Thailand's cultural heritage as part of their way of life.
The Ambassador reaffirmed the readiness of the Royal Thai Embassy in London and Team Thailand in the UK to support and coordinate with WBC Muay Thai UK on such initiatives to further promote Muay Thai to a wider audience and strengthen Thailand’s image through sports, culture, and people-to-people exchanges between Thailand and the UK.
