On 20 August 2025, Ambassador Nadhavathna Krishnamra welcomed Lord Vaizey of Didcot, Chairman of the UK-ASEAN Business Council (UKABC), and Mr. Ian Gibbons, Chief Executive of UKABC, at the Royal Thai Embassy.

The two sides discussed new opportunities and potential for future collaboration to support the promotion of high-level interactions, as Thailand and the UK celebrate the 170^th anniversary of their diplomatic relations in 2025. In addition, the two sides exchanged views on possible impacts of geopolitics on regional and international trade, opportunities to promote cooperation on higher education and tourism, as well as the Royal Thai Embassy’s projects that UKABC could be actively engaged with in the future.
