The Royal Thai Embassy attends the Alms-Giving Ceremony on the occasion of New Year at Buddhapadipa Temple in London

On 1 January 2026, His Excellency Mr. Nadhavathna Krishnamra, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the United Kingdom, together with his spouse, officers, staff and family members of the Royal Thai Embassy attended the merit-making and alms-giving ceremony on the occasion of New Year 2026 at Buddhapadipa Temple in London, where the Ambassador and the Embassy team joined over 150 Thai and British community members in alms-giving and offering food to the sangha at Buddhapadipa Temple.
 
During the ceremony, the Ambassador offered New Year greetings to the Thai community joining the ceremony and provided information about the overseas voting for Thais wishing to exercise their voting rights in the Thai general election and referendum on the constitution in the UK and Ireland.
 
On this occasion, the Embassy also set up a help desk to faciliate overseas voting registration for Thais attending the ceremony.
