On 9 September 2025, Ambassador Nadhavathna Krishnamra, opened the 2^nd Meeting of the Association of Thai Businesses in the United Kingdom (ATBUK) for the year 2025. The meeting was attended by 15 participants, including the Minister (Commercial Affairs) and Director of Thai Trade Centre, Thai entrepreneurs and those with business connections to Thailand, as well as officials of the Royal Thai Embassy.

          The meeting reviewed and followed up on the outcomes of the 1^st ATBUK Meeting held on 16 July 2025. Mrs. Saipin Lee, President of ATBUK, informed the participants of the appointment of an interim Executive Committee to drive forward the Association’s activities and its roles and responsibilities. In addition, the meeting discussed the establishment of an official website, the status of membership registration, the Association’s accounts and budget, as well as future activities.

          The Ambassador emphasised the Embassy’s readiness to support the Association in its upcoming activities to promote Thai businesses in the United Kingdom, as well as to assist in identifying new opportunities and addressing challenges faced by Thai entrepreneurs. The meeting also agreed to organise an official re-launch event for ATBUK to further raise awareness, together with the Association’s Annual General Meeting, which is planned to be held by the end of 2025.
