On 26 September 2022, Ambassador Pisanu Suvanajata paid a farewell call on Ms. Joelle Jenny, Director for Indo-Pacific at FCDO, to conclude his tour of duty following his retirement from the foreign service at the end of this month.

Ambassador Pisanu took this opportunity to express his appreciation on behalf of the Royal Thai Embassy and Thai community in the UK for the FCDO's continued support and commitment in working closely together in strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries during the past six years despite many challenges.

Both sides welcomed many key achievements of bilateral cooperation in various dimensions, especially the continuation of the strategic dialogue, the successful establishment of the Joint Economic and Trade Committee (JETCO), the cooperation in public health management during COVID-19 crisis and the rebooting of the official and people-to-people exchanges in the post-COVID time. International issues that affect both countries and the region were also discussed.

Both sides also agreed to drive pending issues prior to COVID-19 crisis, such as expanding the aviation connection and cooperating in the international airshow, to carry forward the positive momentum and deepen friendship and cooperation based on mutual benefits of the two countries and our peoples.
