On 16 September 2022, Ambassador Pisanu Suvanajata of Thailand and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Kitack Lim, Secretary-General of the IMO, to bid farewell upon the completion of his tour of duty and retirement. In his farewell remarks, the IMO Secretary-General commended Thailand’s pro-active role in the works of the IMO during the past 6 years, as well as Thailand’s consecutive success in maintaining the country’s seat in the IMO Council. A Letter of Appreciation was also awarded to Ambassador Pisanu to mark the IMO’s acknowledgment of his long dedication to support and promote the close cooperation between Thailand and the IMO during his tenure in the United Kingdom which evidently rendered successful outcomes.
