Reception on the Occasion of the Launch of Thailand’s candidature for the IMO Council in Category C for the 2026–2027 term, and the introduction of the Permanent Representative of Thailand to the IMO

On 26 March 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in London and the Office of the Maritime Attaché co-organised a reception to launch Thailand’s candidature for the IMO Council in Category C for the 2026–2027 term, and to introduce the Permanent Representative of Thailand to the IMO. The reception was attended by Mr. Arsenio Dominguez, Secretary-General of the IMO, Ambassadors and Permanent Representatives of IMO member states in London.

On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Nadhavathna Krishnamra, Ambassador of Thailand to the UK, officially introduced himself as the Permanent Representative of Thailand to the IMO following the presentation of his credentials to the Secretary-General of the IMO. In his remarks, Ambassador Krishnamra highlighted key messages on Thailand’s candidacy, its constructive role and vision on maritime affairs in seeking support from IMO member states for the candidature.
