On 25 November 2025, H.E. Mr. Nadhavathna Krishnamra, Ambassador of Thailand to the United Kingdom and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the International Maritime Organization (IMO), delivered Thailand’s general statement to the 34th Session of the IMO Assembly.
Ambassador Krishnamra reaffirmed Thailand’s strong commitment to playing a constructive role in advancing the IMO’s work and shared goals. He highlighted Thailand’s efforts to promote greater maritime sustainability, including the “Green Port” policy and the country’s plans to achieve carbon neutrality in the maritime sector. He also underscored Thailand’s support for the welfare and equal treatment of seafarers, as well as the importance of inclusive cooperation and capacity-building within the region.
