The Royal Thai Embassy in London joins the Sub-Committee on Sports Industry Promotion in the Muay Thai Masterclass in Woking, as part of the “170 Outreach” taking the story of 170 Years of Thailand–UK Diplomatic Relations to different areas in the UK.
On 3 May 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in London joined the Sub-Committee on Sports Industry Promotion at the Muay Thai Masterclass in Woking, United Kingdom, as part of a series of activities commemorating 170 years of diplomatic relations between Thailand and the United Kingdom.
The event was opened by Asst. Prof. Pimol Srivikorn, Chair of the Sub-Committee and President of the National Olympic Committee of Thailand; H.E. Mr. Nadhavathna Krishnamra, Ambassador of Thailand to the United Kingdom; and Councillor Louisa Morales, Mayor of Woking.
The masterclass featured world-renowned Muay Thai legends including Saenchai P.K. , Namsaknoi the Emperor, and rising star Nabil Anane, who shared high-level Muay Thai techniques and skills with more than 400 participants.
As part of the event, Standard Muaythai Gym (SMG) certification plaques were awarded to 10 Muay Thai gyms in the United Kingdom that had been selected and endorsed by the Sub-Committee on Sports Industry Promotion, the Sports Authority of Thailand, and the Board of Boxing Sports.
The Muay Thai Masterclass will be held again on 5 May 2025 in Glasgow as part of ongoing efforts to promote Muay Thai on the international stage and preserve Thailand’s rich cultural heritage for future generation.
