On 6 May 2026, His Excellency Mr. Nadhavathna Krishnamra, Ambassador of Thailand to the United Kingdom, met with Mr. Chartsiri Sophonpanich, President of Bangkok Bank and Chairman of the Thai-UK Business Leadership Council (TUBLC), at the Embassy to exchange views on advancing collaboration between Thai and UK businesses in support of the promotion of Thai-UK economic partnership, through TUBLC and Thai – UK Business Council (TUBC) particularly the prospects for a Thai-UK FTA.

The two sides further discussed ways to promote trade, investment, and educational cooperation between Thailand and the UK on mutually beneficial areas such as science and technology.
