On 10 September 2025, Ambassador Nadhavathna Krishnamra presided over “A Night of Thai Excellence” exclusive dinner at Anglo-Thai, a Michelin-starred Thai restaurant in London. The event was hosted by the TAT London Office in collaboration with Thailand’s Monsoon Valley Wine. The aim was to leverage Thailand’s soft power through gastronomy, complemented by celebrity presence from the world of global motorsports and Formula 1.

          After the Ambassador’s welcome remarks, Mr. Alex Albon, a Thai-British Formula 1 driver, gave a special appearance sharing his personal perspectives on Thai tourism. He spoke about his favourite Thai destinations and cuisine, his visits to the Monsoon Valley Vineyards, as well as the values and way of life in Thailand that inspired him in his racing career. He also mentioned how he enjoys introducing Thai food culture to fellow international racing drivers.

          The evening featured an exclusive dining experience by Chef John Chantarasak of Anglo-Thai, who crafted a fine dining fusion menu inspired by Thailand’s five regions. Each course was paired with premium selections from Monsoon Valley Wine, highlighting the uniqueness and modern sophistication of Thai gastronomy on the world stage. The event welcomed more than 40 high-profile guests and media representatives from diverse industries, including motorsport, sport and luxury tourism companies, wine and lifestyle media, Formula 1 influencers, Formula 1 fans, as well as leading outlets such as The Sun and Rolling Stone Magazine. Rising Thai driver, Mr. Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak, champion of the Formula 3 Feature Race, also attended, adding to the excitement of the evening. Guests expressed great appreciation for the event and showed keen interest in Thailand’s potential to host a Formula 1 Grand Prix in the future.
