Great News for Thailand in 2017, World Economic Forum has upgraded Thailand’s Competitiveness from 34th to 32th in the world (137 countries!) The best news of all comes from Thailand’s jump in the Macroeconomic Environment where Thailand is now top of ASEAN this year. The jump in ranking results from the Government’s efforts in building business confidence in the government service to facilitate businesses and the private sector. Thailand’s marked increase in scores comes from continuing trade surpluses, having strong fiscal discipline, low inflation, low unemployment and low public debt to GDP ratio.
