On Thursday 13 February 2020, H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, and Ambassador Pisanu Suvanajata, in his capacity as Permanent Representative of Thailand to the International Maritime Organization (IMO), met with Mr. Kitack Lim, the IMO Secretary-General, at the IMO Headquarters in London.  Both sides discussed areas of mutual interest for cooperation in maritime issues between Thailand and the IMO and the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), where Thailand can play a leading role in the region and constructively engage with IMO member states, both from the developing and developed countries, in support of the work of the IMO to ensure maritime safety and sustainable use of the oceans.
