NON-IMMIGRANT VISA TYPE O Volunteer

  1. Eligible Applicants for O Volunteer Visa

- This category of visa is issued to applicants who wish to visit Thailand for a volunteer to work in a non-government organization in Thailand.

  1. O Volunteer Visa Conditions

- The O Volunteer Visa is valid for a single entry for volunteer-related purposes only.
- The O Volunteer Visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. Travellers must enter Thailand within the said 90-day period. They will be allowed to stay in Thailand for a period of up to 90 days, counting from the date of entry. During the 90-day period of stay, if they wish to leave and re-enter Thailand, they are required to apply for a re-entry permit (single or multiple) before departure. If they leave Thailand without a re-entry permit, the current stay permit shall be considered void.
- The extension of stay is at the discretion of the immigration officer. Extension application can be made at the Office of Immigration Bureau (visit www.immigration.go.th for more information).
- If the O Volunteer Visa holder breaches the entry conditions, the stay permit will be revoked and he/she will be prohibited from entering Thailand in the future.

 

Required Documents

NON-IMMIGRANT VISA TYPE O Volunteer (Single entry / less than 90 days)

  1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document

  2. Photograph taken within the last six months
    - If the photograph does not reflect your current appearance you may be refused to enter the Kingdom of Thailand.

  3. Document indicating current location
    - Applicant’s local utility bills (shows your name and address) e.g. electricity bill/ gas / mobile phone / rental agreement.

  4. Financial evidence: amount of no less than 30,000 THB (£700), e.g. bank statements, sponsorship letter
    - Applicant’s recent official UK/Ireland bank statement shows your name, address (Screenshots are not accepted)

  5. Letter confirming voluntary work signed by authorized person together with a copy of ID card or passport of the signer

  6. Letter of the head of the Department, government agency or state enterprise requesting for the applicant’s voluntary activity, or by the head of any other government agency that oversees or shares missions with the organization/NGO
