Tourist Single Entry Visa

Eligible Applicants

- This category of visa is issued to eligible applicants who are currently residing in the United Kingdom / Ireland / UK Territories and wishing to enter Thailand for the sole purpose of tourism only.

Proof of residency / Tickets from the origin of the United Kingdom / Ireland / UK Territories must be provided upon submission of the Visa.

TR Visa (Tourist Visa) Conditions

- TR Visa is valid for a single entry into Thailand for tourism purposes only.

- TR Visa is valid for 3 months from the date of issuance. Travellers must enter Thailand within the said 3-month period. They will be allowed to stay in Thailand for a period of up to 60 days, counting from the date of entry. Extension is possible for another 30 days, with a maximum period of stay of 90 days, counting from the date of entry.

- If the TR Visa holder breaches the entry conditions (for example, if he/she engages in work-related activities), the stay permit will be revoked and he/she will be prohibited from entering Thailand in the future.

Required documents

Tourist (TR) Tourism/Leisure activities.     

  1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document.

  2.  Declaration.

             - Visa declaration must be downloaded and signed. Illegible youth declaration form can be signed by their parents/ guardians.       

  3.  Travel booking confirmation.       

          - Flight details showing applicant’s name, departure date, all flights en route from UK/Ireland/UK territories to Thailand and onward flight to another destination.

  4.  Photograph *taken within the last six months. If the photograph does not reflect your current appearance you may be refused to enter the Kingdom of Thailand.                                                     

           - If the photograph is inappropriate, and does not reflect your current appearance your visa may be rejected to enter the Kingdom of Thailand.

  5. Proof of accommodation in Thailand, e.g. Accommodation bookings, invitation letters from family/friends in Thailand. 

           - Invitation letters from family/friends must be submitted with their respective official photo ID. 

           - Accommodation booking must have details of applicant name/ date (check in and check out)/ address and contact no. of your accommodation.     

  6. Financial evidence, e.g. bank statements, proof of earnings, sponsorship letter.      

           - Your recent official UK/Ireland bank statement shows your name, address, and a minimum closing balance of £500 (Do not send the screenshot) , proof of earnings (payslips) or sponsorship letter from your sponsor with official ID and their Bank Statements.

  7. Confirmation of legal residence in a country in which you are applying for the visa. (In case that you are not a national of the country in which you are applying for the visa.).            

          - In case of the non-UK / non-Irish national applicants, Copy of the BRP card / Ireland residence card or letter from UKVI (UK visa) settlement status must be provided. UK national can provide UK Driving licence (for UK/Ireland national) or any UK ID to fulfil the requirement of the application. 

  8. A confirmation letter from employer, School, Self-assessment, Pension statement.

  9. Identity of the person inviting you to stay e.g. Thai ID card, Passport.

              - For the applicants who have no local invitation, proof of accommodation booking can be provided.

  10. All travel records for the past 12 months (1 year) since the last international trip. 

              - International travel record over the past 12 months from the application date. 

  11. Document that can verify applicant's current residency (Applicant must apply for e-Visa via specific Embassy/Consulate conforming with his/her consular jurisdiction and residency.).       
          
            -   Applicants are requested to submit their local utility bills eg. electricity bill/ gas / mobile phone / rental agreement. 

  12. Applicant's photograph holding the biodata page of his/her own passport.

Tourist (TR/MICE) - Participants of MICE (Meeting, Incentives, Convention & Exhibitions) supported by TCEB.

  1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document.

  3. Photograph *taken within the last six months. If the photograph does not reflect your current appearance you may be refused to enter the Kingdom of Thailand.

             - If the photograph is inappropriate, and does not reflect your current appearance your visa may be rejected to enter the Kingdom of Thailand.

  4. Personal details of a family in Thailand, e.g. ID card, Passport and the visa page or stay permit in Thailand  

              - Please attach flight details showing the applicant’s name, departure date, all flights en route from UK/Ireland/UK territories to Thailand and onward flight to another destination.

  5. Proof of accommodation in Thailand, e.g. Accommodation bookings, invitation letters from family/friends in Thailand.      

              -  Invitation letters from family/friends must be submitted with their respective official photo ID.

  6. Proof of relationship to a family in Thailand, e.g. A copy of marriage certificate / birth certificate / certificate of adoption.    

               - Please attach financial evidence, e.g. bank statements (Your recent official UK/Ireland bank statement shows your name, address, and a minimum closing balance of £500 (Do not send the screenshot) , proof of earnings (payslips) , sponsorship letter from your sponsor with official ID and their Bank Statements).

UK national can provide UK Driving licence (for UK/Ireland national) or any UK ID to fulfil the requirement of the application.

           - In case of the non-UK / non-Irish national applicants, Copy of the BRP card / Ireland residence card or letter from UKVI (UK visa) settlement status must be provided.
