Spouse and Family Visa 

 

Non Immigration Type O visit and staying with family in Thailand (Single entry / valid for 90 days / stay in Thailand up to 90 days)

Eligible Applicants for O Spouse Visa

- This category of visa is issued to applicants who are spouses, parents, or children of Thai nationals and are currently residing in the UK / Ireland / UK Territories.

- This category of visa is issued to applicants who are spouses, children (under 20), and parents (with special care requirements) of the applicants working in Thailand. 

- Family or dependent of diplomatic officers / officials based in Thailand

 

O Spouse Visa Conditions

- The extension of stay is at the discretion of the Immigration Officer. Extension applications can be made at the Office of Immigration Bureau (visit https://www.immigration.go.th/ for more information).

- If the O Spouse Visa holder breaches the entry conditions, the stay permit will be revoked and he/she will be prohibited from entering Thailand in the future.

 

Required Document

To stay with non-Thai family residing in Thailand

  1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document

  2. Photograph taken within the last six months
    - If the photograph does not reflect your current appearance you may be refused to enter the Kingdom of Thailand.

  3. Document indicating current location
    - Applicant’s local utility bills (shows your name and address) e.g. electricity bill/ gas / mobile phone / rental agreement.

  4. Financial evidence: amount of no less than 30,000 THB (£700), e.g. bank statements, sponsorship letter
    - Applicant’s recent official UK/Ireland bank statement shows your name, address (Screenshots are not accepted)

  5. Personal details of a family in Thailand, e.g. Passport and the visa page or stay permit in Thailand

  6. Proof of relationship to a family in Thailand, e.g. A copy of marriage certificate / birth certificate / certificate of adoption

 

To stay with Thai family residing in Thailand

  1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document

  2. Photograph taken within the last six months
    - If the photograph does not reflect your current appearance you may be refused to enter the Kingdom of Thailand.

  3. Document indicating current location
    - Applicant’s local utility bills (shows your name and address) e.g. electricity bill/ gas / mobile phone / rental agreement.
  1. Financial evidence showing monthly income of no less than 40,000 THB (£1,000) or having the current balance of 400,000 THB (£10,000), e.g. bank statements, proof of earnings
    - Applicant’s recent official UK/Ireland bank statement shows your name, address (Screenshots are not accepted). For monthly income of last 3 months no less than £1,000/ month.

  2. Personal details of a family in Thailand, e.g. ID card, Passport

  3. Proof of relationship to a family in Thailand, e.g. A copy of marriage certificate / birth certificate / certificate of adoption

Family or dependent of diplomatic officers / officials based in Thailand

  1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document
