Retirement Visa

 

NON-IMMIGRANT VISA TYPE O Retirement (Single entry)

Retirement (pensioner aged 50 or above with state pension who wishes to stay in Thailand for no longer than 90 days)

  1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document

  2. Photograph taken within the last six months
    - If the photograph does not reflect your current appearance you may be refused to enter the Kingdom of Thailand.

  3. Document indicating current location
    - Applicant’s local utility bills (shows your name and address) e.g. electricity bill/ gas / mobile phone / rental agreement.

  4. Financial evidence showing monthly income of no less than 65,000 THB (£1,500) or having the current balance of 800,000 THB (£18,000), e.g. bank statements, proof of earnings
    - Applicant’s recent official UK/Ireland bank statement shows your name, address (Screenshots are not accepted). For monthly income of last 3 months no less than £1,500/ month. 

 

NON-IMMIGRANT VISA TYPE O-A

(For retirement long stay: valid for 1 year / Multiple entries)

  1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document

  2. Photograph taken within the last six months
    - If the photograph does not reflect your current appearance you may be refused to enter the Kingdom of Thailand.

  3. Proof of the permanent residence in the country where the application is submitted
    - UK or Irish passport, applicant’s local utility bills (shows your name and address) e.g. electricity bill/ gas / mobile phone / rental agreement. All other passports, BRP card or letter from UKVI (UK visa).

  4. Financial evidence showing monthly income of no less than 65,000 THB (£1,500) or having the current balance of 800,000 THB (£18,000), e.g. bank statements, proof of earnings
    - Applicant’s recent official UK/Ireland bank statement shows your name, address (Screenshots are not accepted). For monthly income of last 3 months no less than £1,500/ month.

  5. A medical certificate issued from the country where the application is submitted, showing no prohibitive diseases as indicated in the Ministerial Regulation No.14 (B.E. 2535) (certificate shall be valid for not more than three months)
     - Applicant must provide a medical certificate issued in the UK or Ireland or Thailand, showing that applicant has no prohibitive diseases (Leprosy, Tuberculosis, Elephantiasis, drug addiction, or third stage of Syphilis) with less than 3 months from the date of issue with official GP stamp and address. The medication certificate form can be downloaded below.

  6. Foreign Insurance Certificate as stipulated by the Office of Insurance Commission and Health Insurance of Thailand, which must be completed, signed and stamped by the insurance company. The form can be downloaded from https://longstay.tgia.org
    - In case of using foreign insurance company, please download the given form and ask your respective insurer to fill out the given form with an official stamp. Failure to do so, your insurance will not be applicable to your visa application. 

  7. Health Insurance issued by a Thai or foreign insurer for general illnesses, including COVID-19, with the insured sum of no less than 100,000 USD or 3,000,000 THB
    - Your duration of stay permit in Thailand (within the validity of your visa) will correspond with the duration of your health insurance.

  8. Certificate of criminal record clearance from the country of nationality or the country where the application is submitted
    - Certificate of criminal record clearance from the UK (ACRO issued by the national police unit) or Ireland (Police Certificates issued by Ireland’s national police unit) is only valid for 6 months after the issuing date and any certificate that is older than 6 months on the date of application will be considered invalid.


NON-IMMIGRANT VISA TYPE O-X

 (For retirement long stay: valid for 5 years / Multiple entries)  

  1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document

  2. Photograph taken within the last six months
    - If the photograph does not reflect your current appearance you may be refused to enter the Kingdom of Thailand.

  3. Proof of the permanent residence in the country where the application is submitted
    - UK or Irish passport, applicant’s local utility bills (shows your name and address) e.g. electricity bill/ gas / mobile phone / rental agreement. All other passports, BRP card or letter from UKVI (UK visa).

  4. Financial evidence with fixed deposit of no less than 3,000,000 THB or no less than 1,800,000 THB together with monthly income of no less than 1,200,000 THB per year in Thai bank located in Thailand
    - Your bank statement of Thai bank, showing your name with a minimum of fix deposit of THB 3,000,000 remained in your account for no less than one year. UK and other national bank account are not accepted.

  5. A medical certificate issued from the country where the application is submitted, showing no prohibitive diseases as indicated in the Ministerial Regulation No.14 (B.E. 2535) (certificate shall be valid for not more than three months)

    - Certificate of criminal record clearance from the UK (ACRO issued by the national police unit) or Ireland (Police Certificates issued by Ireland’s national police unit) is only valid for 6 months after the issuing date and any certificate that is older than 6 months on the date of application will be considered invalid.
