Destination Thailand Visa (DTV)
Workcation and Thai soft power related activities
Purpose of Visit:
DTV1 - Workcation (Digital nomad/remote worker/foreign talent/freelancer)
DTV2 - Thai soft power related activities e.g. Muaythai, Thai culinary training and medical treatment
DTV3 - Spouse and children under 20 years old of DTV visa holders
Visa Fee: £300 Visa Validity: 5 years / Multiple Entries Period of Stay: 180 days per entry
Extension of Stay (through the Thai Immigration Bureau): 1-time for a period not exceeding
180 days per entry. After the maximum stay of 180 days + 180 days needs to depart the country and re-enter Thailand with the same DTV visa within the visa validity date.
DTV1 - Workcation (digital nomad/remote worker/foreign talent/freelancer)
Required Documents:
1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document
2. Photograph taken within the last six months
3. Document indicating current location
4. Financial evidence: amount of no less than £11,000 (500,000 THB), e.g. bank statements, sponsorship letter
5. Employment contract or employment certificate in their country or professional portfolio showcasing digital nomad, remote worker, foreign talent or freelancer status
DTV2 - Thai soft power related activities e.g. muaythai, Thai culinary training and medical treatment
Required Documents:
1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document
2. Photograph taken within the last six months
3. Document indicating current location
4. Financial evidence: amount of no less than £11,000 (500,000 THB), e.g. bank statements, sponsorship letter
5. Proof of confirmation to attend the activity or letter of appointment from hospital/medical center
DTV3 - Spouse and children under 20 years old of DTV visa holders
Required Documents:
1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document
2. Photograph taken within the last six months
3. Document indicating current location
4. Financial evidence: amount of no less than £11,000 (500,000 THB), e.g. bank statements, sponsorship letter
5. DTV visa of the DTV holder
6. Proof of relationship to the DTV visa holder, e.g. a copy of marriage certificate / birth certificate / certificate of adoption
***Additional Documents***
For non-UK citizens, please provide additional documents:
- A copy of BRP card or letter from UKVI (UK visa) settlement status.
- A letter confirming employment details from an employer in the UK or Ireland (address to Royal Thai Embassy in London). Please note that the acceptance or job offer is not sufficient.
For students, a letter is proof of full-time student status.
For self-employed, business license or business registration indicating the applicant’s name.
For minors under 16 years old, please provide additional documents:
- Full birth certificate showing the parents' names.
- Parent's passport or ID.
- Parent’s council tax bills, utility bills.
- Your parent’s recent official UK/Ireland bank statement, showing their name, address.
***If the applicant not submitting all listed documents or submitted a screenshot or unclear file, he/she will get a request for more documents which will delay the Visa processing time
***All supporting materials that are issued outside of Thailand and the UK must be accompanied by certified English translations and notarized by an Embassy or Ministry of Foreign Affairs only***
