On 25 June 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in London hosted a Vin d’Honneur on the occasion of H.E. Ambassador Nadhavathna Krishnamra presenting the Letters of Credence accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Ireland to H.E. Mrs. Catherine Connolly, President of Ireland, at the Anantara The Marker Dublin. Ms. Iseult Fitzgerald, Director of the Asia Pacific Unit of Ireland’s Department of Foreign of Affairs and Trade, attended the Vin d’ Honneur as Guest of Honour, along with representatives from Department of Foreign of Affairs and Trade of Ireland, Diplomatic Corps in Ireland, Thai and Irish businesses, and Irish academia as well as the Thai community in Ireland.
On this occasion, the Ambassador delivered remarks reaffirming his commitment to foster closer Thailand-Ireland cooperation in education, research and science, trade and investment, tourism and sports, exchange of high-level visits, and people to people connections, building on the momentum of the celebrations marking 50 years of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Ireland in 2025. He also expressed his hope for Thailand to work closely with Ireland toward a conclusion of the Thai-EU FTA negotiations during Ireland’s chairmanship of the Council of the European Union from 1 July-31 December 2026. In her remarks, Director Iseult Fitzgerald highlighted Thailand and Ireland’s cordial relations and cooperation based on shared values in peace, stability and prosperity,
and also looked forward to the conclusion of the Thai-EU FTA negotiations.
