On 17 March 2026, approximately 75 members of the Thai community in Ireland participated in the St. Patrick’s Day Parades in Swords and Malahide. The Thai community captured attention of the crowds with their colourful parade by showcasing traditional Thai dances and costumes, adding vibrant cultural elements to the St. Patrick’s Day parade.

As part of the activities to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Thai-Ireland Diplomatic Relations, the Royal Thai Embassy in London contributed financial support for the participation of the Thai community in the activity. A diplomat from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who is currently pursuing studies at the University College Dublin, also assisted and joined in the event.

The Royal Thai Embassy congratulates the Thai Community in Ireland on their initiative, which reflects the strong people-to-people ties between Thailand and Ireland and helps promote Thailand’s soft power on the international stage.
