On 30 June 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in London hosted a Soft Launch event for the Thai Festival: Thailand Showcase 2026 at the Ambassador’s Residence, with the participation of over 30 key partners, well-known Thai, British, and foreign social media and influencers.

 

On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Nadhavathna Krishnamra, Ambassador of Thailand to the UK, expressed his gratitude to the Embassy’s key partners, social media and influencers for their continued support. He underlined that the Thai Festival in London has been selected as one of 12 Thai Festival flagship events from 43 cities worldwide under the theme “Creative Life and Creative Heartbeat.” This reflects the importance of the Thai Festival in London, which has been known under the name “Thailand Showcase” in promoting Thailand’s visibility and cultural identity in the UK.

 

As a highlight of the Soft Launch, Ms. Chariya Khattiyot, winner of MasterChef UK 2023, presented her creative culinary presentation of Khao Soi Chicken Pie served with Ajad (pickled relish), showcasing a contemporary interpretation of Thai cuisine. The demonstration was warmly received by attendees and highlighted the potential and adaptability of Thai food. Several Thai food dishes and drinks were also introduced as a taste of the variety available at the Thai Festival, including Som Tam, Tom Yum Noodle, Green Curry, Massaman Curry, Stir-fried Minced Pork with Basil Leaves (pad kraprow), Pad Thai, Mango with Sticky Rice, Coconut Ice Cream, Thai fruits as well as Thai tea, coconut juice, Thai beer and Thai wine.

 

The Soft Launch represented a preview of the Thai Festival: Thailand Showcase 2026 for the public. The Royal Thai Embassy wishes to cordially invite Thais, Brits, and friends of all nationalities in the UK to the largest Thai festival of the year hosted by Team Thailand in London from 17-19 July 2026 at Potters Fields Park with free entry.
