On 18 July 2022, Ambassador Pisanu Suvanajata chaired a networking roundtable with potential UK exhibitors from various sectors at the Royal Thai Embassy in London. The event was also jointly hosted by Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) led by Mrs. Nichapa Yoswee, Senior Vice President of TCEB, whom also gave a briefing on the latest development in Thailand’s exhibition sector and the support package catered for UK exhibitors to assist launching their events in Thailand.

In his welcoming remarks, Ambassador Pisanu highlighted the recent positive economic momentum in Thailand’s economic recovery post COVID-19 and the readiness to welcome MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) visitors and industries back as the country now lifted all travel restrictions to ensure the ease of international travelling since 1 July 2022. Ambassador Pisanu also extended invitations to potential UK exhibitors to reconnect with Thailand and to join forces in bringing the bilateral economic ties to a higher level and towards the Enhanced Trade Partnership (ETP) between two countries in the near future.

The roundtable was then followed by a networking dinner hosted by Ambassador Pisanu where Thai food and beverages were served to showcase a renewed experience of Thai hospitality and as a token of appreciation to industry friends for their confidence in Thailand. This also represents the Embassy’ commitment in working proactively alongside other Thai agencies to promote further trade and investment from the UK into Thailand and to support the national development through the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy model.
