On 21 May 2025, the Prime Minister visited Fight City Gym at its Moorgate branch in central London. Renowned for blending traditional martial arts with modern fitness techniques, the gym reflects the global appeal of Muay Thai and its role in Thai culture. Following this, the Prime Minister went to the Wing Yip Superstore in Cricklewood, one of the UK’s largest Asian supermarkets, to survey and promote Thai agricultural and food products. The store features more than 1,000 Thai product lines, showcasing the richness and variety of Thai food exports.
On 22 May 2025, the Prime Minister attended a meeting at the Royal Thai Embassy in London to receive briefings on opportunities for expanding the export value of Thai agricultural and food products and to discuss opportunities and challenges in the UK and Irish markets. Attendees included representatives from ten key private sector companies and importers: Selfridges, C.P. Intertrade Co., Ltd., Boon Rawd Brewery Co., Ltd. (Singha Beer), Thai Beverage Public Co., Ltd. (Chang Beer), Thai Thana Co., Ltd., ASCO Co., Ltd., Manning Impex Co., Ltd., Patara Restaurant, Bangkok Bank, and Boon Sappaya Thai Massage.
During the discussion, the Prime Minister provided policy directions to the “Team Thailand” network, including the Royal Thai Embassy, the Office of Commercial Affairs in London, the Thailand Board of Investment (Paris Office) and the Office of Economic and Financial Affairs.
Later, the Prime Minister presided over the launch of the new Thai SELECT certification emblem and presented certificates to 40 Thai SELECT restaurants, recognizing excellence in authentic Thai cuisine overseas. She also participated in a culinary demonstration by prominent chefs, preparing miang kham alongside the chefs, highlighting the artistry and heritage of Thai food.
The Prime Minister concluded her visit to the Royal Thai Embassy in London with a series of meetings with representatives from the tourism sector, including British Airways, Trailfinders, Emirates and DNATA, to discuss: (1) Current tourism trends in the UK market; (2) Strategies to promote and stimulate travel to Thailand, and (3) Thai government policies supporting the tourism industry.
