On 8 May 2026, His Excellency Mr. Nadhavathna Krishnamra, Ambassador of Thailand to the United Kingdom, welcomed representatives from Thammasat University’s Center for Local Governance Studies and Participants of the Advanced Local Administration and Social Welfare Management Programme, led by Associate Professor Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Director of the Programme and Vice Rector for International Affairs of Thammasat University, at the Royal Thai Embassy. Officials from the Royal Thai Embassy also joined the meeting.

On this occasion, the two sides exchanged views on a wide range of issues, including cooperation between Thailand and the UK, devolution and local elections in the UK on 7 May 2026, the UK’s local administration and welfare system, as well as future directions for enhancing educational cooperation between the two countries.
