On 14 October 2025, Ambassador Nadhavathna Krishnamra paid a courtesy call on Minister Emma Hardy, Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) at the UK Parliament (Portcullis House).

The exchange highlighted the positive dynamics of the Thailand-UK bilateral relations, particularly in this year, which marks the 170th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the two countries. A series of activities have been held in both countries to celebrate this special year, including the recent visit to Thailand of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Thailand, led by Mr. Mark Garnier, MP and former UK Trade Envoy. The programme, in which Minister Hardy also participated two years ago, aimed to promote ties between the two countries in all aspects, particularly parliamentary relations. In addition, both sides discussed environment, energy and climate change policies of Thailand and the United Kingdom, as well as opportunities for cooperation at both bilateral and multilateral levels.
