On 15 May 2026, Ambassador Nadhavathna Krishnamra met with Executives from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) and the Thai Art and Craft Development Association (TACDA), led by Dr. Wiparat De-ong, Executive Director of the NRCT, at the Royal Thai Embassy in London.

          The two sides exchanged views on the promotion of Thai creative arts and innovation in the UK and the advancement of Thailand’s creative economy and Science Diplomacy. Both sides also agreed to cooperate in further developing Thailand’s participation in London Craft Week to ensure continuity of Thailand’s visibility on the UK craft scene. The discussions also highlighted the importance of building collaborative networks to expand opportunities for Thai creative arts and products on the international stage.

          Following the meeting, the delegation visited “The Art of Thai Miniatures” exhibition at the Royal Thai Embassy, which features intricately crafted miniature Thai houses and artworks reflecting Thai ways of life and local wisdom. The delegation also participated in a miniature workshop, offering an immersive experience of Thai craftsmanship.
