On 11 May 2026, Ambassador Nadhavathna Krishnamra and Mrs. Priabthip Krishnamra, spouse of the Ambassador, together with officials and spouses of the Royal Thai Embassy in London, welcomed members of the Diplomatic Spouses Club of London (DSCL) to “The Art of Thai Miniatures,” curated by the Royal Thai Embassy as part of London Craft Week 2026, at the Royal Thai Embassy, with approximately 30 participants attending the event.

On this occasion, the Ambassador welcomed the guests and guided them through the exhibition, which features miniature traditional Thai houses and miniature handicrafts from the private collection of Mrs. Farida King, generously donated to the Embassy by Ms. Lisa King. The collection served as an important inspiration behind “The Art of Thai Miniatures,” which aims to showcase the beauty, intricacy, and uniqueness of Thai craftsmanship to the public in the UK.

During the event, participants also enjoyed a miniature mango sticky rice workshop conducted by Ms. Ploydao Theeravech, a specialist in Thai miniature food art. The activity provided guests with a creative and engaging opportunity to experience the charm of Thai art and culinary culture.

In addition, the Royal Thai Embassy received valuable support from the SUPPORT Arts and Crafts International Centre of Thailand (SACIT), which brought two master artisans from Thailand to conduct workshops throughout the week: (1) Mrs. Natchakon Buchshup, SACIT Master Craftman of Woodwork 2024 (Traditional Thai House - Model Raft House), and (2) Mr. Chatree Nuengchamnong, SACIT Master Craftsman of Woodwork 2018 (Miniature junk boat). Their workshops offer visitors a unique opportunity to closely experience and learn about traditional Thai craftsmanship and wisdom.

“The Art of Thai Miniatures” exhibition is open to the public from 11–17 May 2026, between 10.00 and 17.00 hrs, at the Royal Thai Embassy in London.
