On 8 June 2026, His Excellency Mr. Nadhavathna Krishnamra, Ambassador of Thailand to the UK, welcomed representatives from Thai public and private sectors participating in the London Tech Week 2026 and sideline events at the Royal Thai Embassy in London. Participating in the exchange were Mr. Josh Warland, First Secretary for Technology, UK Department for Business and Trade (DBT) and Mr. Tanatat Swattanakoon, Senior Investment Adviser, British Embassy Bangkok, as well as representatives of StecX Ventures, ExpresSo NB, the Disrupt Health Impact Fund, Program Management Unit for Human Resources & Institutional. Development, Research and Innovation (PMU-B), the Bank of Thailand London Representative Office, and Bangkok Bank London Branch.

     On this occasion, the Ambassador exchanged views with the delegation on the development and future direction of the Science, Technology, and Innovation ecosystem, as well as opportunities to enhance collaboration and learn from the UK's experiences as a European leader in technology ecosystem and unicorn startup creation. Furthermore, the Ambassador also underscored the Embassy’s role and readiness in advancing Thai–UK economic partnership, including facilitating cooperation with the UK public and private sector for Thai businesses in trade, investment, and innovation, as well as supporting businesses from both countries in identifying new business and investment opportunities and expanding collaboration in strategic sectors of mutual interest, including AI, life sciences, advanced materials, medicine and healthcare, as well as areas in which the UK has expertise, such as fintech, quantum technologies, robotics, and clean energy.

     London Tech Week 2026, held during 8–12 June 2026, is the UK’s flagship technology and innovation platform which gathers technology leaders in the public and private sectors from around the world. In 2026, the UK Government inaugurated the UK Global R&D and Science Investment Summit, held in parallel with the London Tech Week to promote investment in the UK’s R&D and STI.
