On 4 February 2026, Ambassador Nadhavathna Krishnamra welcomed a delegation of executives, faculty members, and medical students from the Chulabhorn Royal Academy, led by Professor Dr. Yuwares Sittichanbuncha, Acting Deputy Secretary-General of the Chulabhorn Royal Academy, at the Royal Thai Embassy in London. During the meeting, the Ambassador extended his warm welcome and reaffirmed the Embassy’s determination to promote educational and academic cooperation between Thailand and the UK.

The delegation visited fourth-year medical students from the Princess Srisavangavadhana College of Medicine, Chulabhorn Royal Academy, who are currently studying and conducting research at University College London (UCL) as part of the Doctor of Medicine programme. This forms an integral component of the programme which aims at strengthening students’ research skills and providing academic experience at international level. Upon completion of their Bachelor of Science degree studies, the students will return to Thailand to continue their clinical training. Their academic and research experience in the UK will play an important role in enhancing their capabilities and broadening their global perspectives, enabling them to contribute to the development of Thailand’s healthcare system in the future.
