Ambassador of Thailand to the UK congratulates ATBUK on organisation of Authentic Thai Cuisine Showcase Dinner

On 7 May 2026, Ambassador Nadhavathna Krishnamra and Mrs. Priabthip Krishnamra, spouse of the Ambassador, together with officials from the Royal Thai Embassy and Team Thailand in London attended the Authentic Thai Cuisine Showcase Dinner, co-organised by the Association of Thai Businesses in the UK (ATBUK) and Chichester College, at Restaurant 64, Chichester College. The event was attended by approximately 80 guests.

On this occasion, the Ambassador delivered opening remarks, congratulating the ATBUK on this initiative highlighting the importance of cooperation in Thai culinary education and the development of Thai culinary skills for chefs in the UK. Such collaboration would help uphold the standards and authenticity of Thai cuisine while also creating career opportunities to support the continuously growing demand for Thai food which is one of Thailand’ soft power in the UK. The Ambassador commended the cooperation between Thai businesses and UK educational institutions in promoting Thai cuisine and reaffirmed the Embassy’s readiness to further support partnerships and activities that promote Thai cuisine, Thai businesses, and cultural exchange between Thailand and the UK

The Authentic Thai Cuisine Showcase Dinner featured authentic Thai dishes prepared by British and international students of Chichester College under the guidance of Thai chefs, Mr. Suttichai Se-Upara and Mrs. Nattamon Moleekool, together with Mr. Paul Downing, lecturer at Chichester College, who jointly shared their expertise with students in the preparation of authentic Thai cuisine.
