On 4 March 2026, Ambassador Nadhavathna Krishnamra attended the relaunch event of the Association of Thai Businesses in the UK (ATBUK) at the Royal Thai Embassy, London. The event was attended by approximately 60 ATBUK executives and members, as well as representatives of Thai businesses in the UK.
In his keynote remarks, the Ambassador congratulated the ATBUK for its official relaunch after repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020-2023. He also underscored the important role of Thai entrepreneurs in driving economic growth and enhancing Thailand’s image in the UK. Afterwards, Ms. Saipin Lee, Chairperson of ATBUK, subsequently outlined the Association’s vision and future directions, followed by the official launch of the ATBUK website.
The event also featured a special panel discussion entitled “Beyond Pad Thai: Thai Enterprise in the UK’s 2026 Growth Reset.” The speakers included Ms. Wijitleka Marome, Chief Representative, Bank of Thailand (BoT), London Representative Office, and Ms. Angeline Ong, Financial Analyst at IG Group. The session was moderated by Ms. Anchalee Worrachate Matlock, a media and communications professional.
The event reflected the strength and resilience as well as business potential of Thai entrepreneurs in the UK, as well as the close cooperation between the Royal Thai Embassy and Team Thailand in London and the Thai business network in promoting and advancing sustainable business and investment opportunities in the UK.
