During 24 – 25 July, H.E. Mr. Nadhavathna Krishnamra paid a visit to Dublin, where he presented working copies of his Letters of Credence as Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Ireland to Mr. Ralph Victory, Deputy Chief of Protocol at Iveagh House, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Ireland, on 24 July 2025.
Later the same day, Ambassador - Designate Krishnamra met Mr. Colm Hayes, Director General for Global and Economic Division, and Ms. Iseult Fitzgerald, Director of the Asia-Pacific Division, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Ireland, at the Department’s Bishop’s Square office. The two sides welcomed the cordial and friendly relations between Thailand and Ireland and discussed way forward for activities to commemorate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year. They also exchanged on other issues including roles of Thai communities in Ireland, Thai businesses, as well as Ireland’s growing cultural and economic footprint in Thailand. H.E. Mr. Krishnamra also provided updates on the recent developments with regard to the Thai – Cambodia border situation as well as Thailand’s position.
On 25 July 2025, the programme included visits to various Thai businesses and enterprises involved with Thai products in Ireland. H.E. Mr. Krishnamra also had the opportunity to meet with members of the Thai community, whose unity and commitment to Thai values and culture were commendable. The Thai community in Ireland continues to serve as a bridge of friendship between the two countries and as proud representatives of Thailand abroad.
The Royal Thai Embassy looks forward to further enhancing Thailand–Ireland relations particularly in areas of trade, education, tourism, and people-to-people exchange.
