On 7 September 2026, H.E. Mr. Nadhavathna Krishnamra, Ambassador of Thailand to the UK, hosted a working luncheon for Mr. Mark Garnier, Chairperson of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Thailand and members of the APPG. The Embassy’s executives and officials also joined the working luncheon.

The working luncheon provided an opportunity for updates to further strengthen the close ties between the Embassy and the APPG, which serves as an important mechanism to interface with the UK Parliament and advancing issues of mutual interest between Thailand and the UK.

The discussion permitted a review of directions for Thailand-UK relations and cooperation, and the Embassy’s role in driving the Thai Government’s priorities in the context of the formation of the new UK administration since July 2026. Particular focus was given to prospects for the Thai-UK economic partnership and advocacy for the opening of Thai-UK FTA negotiations as well as exchange of high-level visits and conversations.
