On 23 April 2025, Ambassador Nadhavathna Krishnamra hosted a luncheon in honour of Ms. Cathryn Law, Director of International Strategy and Trade Relations (ISTR), and her team from the UK Department for Business and Trade (DBT) at the Ambassador’s Residence. The event served as a formal introduction following the Ambassador’s recent appointment to the United Kingdom, and was an opportunity to update each other on key developments and prospects for economic cooperation.

During the luncheon, Ambassador Nadhavathna discussed the progress of bilateral cooperation under the Enhanced Trade Partnership (ETP) workplan, including the possibility of launching negotiations on a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Thailand and the UK.

The Ambassador also shared the Embassy’s plans to commemorate the 170th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and the United Kingdom, including a series of celebratory activities for the first half of this year.
