The Royal Thai Embassy in London extends sincere congratulations to the Suanplu Chorus who won the First Award on the Open Choirs Category from the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod 2019 in Wales with highest score of 93.7 per cent. The Suanplu Chorus’ performance was highly regarded by the judges and the crowds for the artistic arrangements and high standard of vocals in this world choir stage which founded over 70 years ago with a view to promoting friendship amongst international chorus groups with more than 4,000 participants and over 50,000 spectators this year.

Subsequent to the competition, the Suanplu chorus is scheduled to take a UK concert tour for several missions of goodwill with the Royal Thai Embassy. Members of the Thai community and Friends of Thailand are cordially invited to welcome and congratulate the Suanplu Chorus as follows:

8 July 2019 at 1230 – 1315 hrs: Pop-Up Concert at Kew Royal Botanical Gardens
9 July 2019 at 1230 – 1330hrs: Lunchtime Concert at the British Library
10 July 2019 at 1830 – 1950 hrs: A Charity Concert at St. Luke’s & Christ Church, London
11 July 2019 at 19.30-20.45 hrs: Opening Concert for the First Thai Festival in Wales by the Royal Thai Embassy at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Cardiff
12-13 July 2019 Pop-up Concerts for the First Thai Festival in Wales by the Royal Thai Embassy at the Norwegian Church, Cardiff Bay, Cardiff
