On 16 March 2026, Ambassador Nadhavathna Krishnamra welcomed a delegation from the Faculty of Education, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Kannika Piromrat, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University.

          During the meeting, the Ambassador exchanged views with the delegation on opportunities to enhance educational cooperation between Thailand and the UK, particularly in promoting Thai Studies programmes in collaboration with universities in the UK. The Ambassador also underscored the Embassy’s priority in promoting Thailand–UK educational collaboration, designating 2026 as the “Year of Thai-UK Education Partnership.” This initiative aims to promote and expand educational cooperation at all levels between Thailand and the UK.

          The delegation from the Faculty of Education, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University is visiting the UK from 16-20 March 2026 to develop a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Faculty of Education, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University and institutions in the UK including the School of Languages, Cultures and Societies, University of Leeds, and Wat Buddharam Leeds. The cooperation aims to promote academic knowledge exchange at both faculty members and students. The University of Leeds, a leading higher education institution in the UK is widely recognised for its Thai Studies programme.
