On 9 May 2025, Ambassador Nadhavathna Krishnamra had an introductory meeting with Mr. José Orive, Executive Director of the International Sugar Organization (ISO), at the Royal Thai Embassy in London. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between Thailand and the ISO, as well as exchanging views on key issues related to the global sugar industry. This included (1) the role of Thai entrepreneurs in expanding the sugar and sugarcane industries across the region and (2) opportunities for promoting renewable energy and sustainable development, particularly in the bioplastics, ethanol, and biofuel sectors.
