On 28 September 2018 at 14.30 hrs. at the Thai Residence, H.E. Mr. Pisanu Suvanajata, Ambassador of Thailand to the UK, welcomed the executives of Thai Beverage and Football Association of Thailand, and youth soccer teams who won Chang Junior Cup. The youth soccer teams, on tour to the home of the English Premier League, had the opportunity to visit stadiums and learn some football tips in Manchester, Liverpool, and Leicester.

Now that ThaiBev has joined hand with King Power to support the latter's Leicester City Football Club, this would open up opportunities for youth soccer teams to advance their skills, to help progress football in Thailand, and to further enhance Thailand-UK relations through "football diplomacy".

The Ambassador greeted the youth footballers, and thanked ThaiBev and Football Association of Thailand for such a constructive initiative.  Not only that these young people can improve various skills through football, more importantly, they would build up the team spirits, the sense of harmony and unity.  Sports can be used as a tool to strengthen ties between nations. Youth footballers are goodwill ambassadors who can help cultivate friendship and deepend cordial relations between Thailalnd and the United Kingdom.
