On 17 October 2019, Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam announced that His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua has graciously postponed the Royal Barge Procession on the Occasion of the Coronation of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua, which was initially scheduled for 24 October to 12 December 2019, due to water levels and currents in the Chao Phraya River, and weather conditions, which could pose a problem for the procession.
