On 30 July 2019, Ambassador Pisanu Suvanajata saw Rt. Hon. Dominic Raab, Foreign Secretary of the UK, off upon the Foreign Secretary’s departure for a visit to Thailand to attend the 52nd ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (AMM) in Bangkok as Guest of the Chair. Thailand is highly privileged to welcome the Foreign Secretary since this visit is the first overseas trip in his capacity as the UK Foreign Secretary, reflecting the priority the British Government attaches to Thailand and ASEAN as well as an effective implementation of the Global Britain policy. On this occasion, the Foreign Secretary and the Ambassador exchanged views on the further development of existing close and cordial bilateral relations between the two countries and various potential opportunities in transition of Brexit on the basis of mutual benefits of the two Kingdoms and her peoples.
