On the morning of 28 July 2019, H.E. Mr. Pisanu Suvanajata, Ambassador of Thailand, presided over a religious ceremony on the auspicious occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn where the monks chanted Jaya Mangala Atta Gatha Stanzas of Victory for His Majesty the King, and members of the Thai community offered food and other necessities to the monks. Members of the Thai community turned up dressed in yellow and golden hues to show their greatest respect and pay homage to His Majesty the King.
Later that afternoon at the Office of Educational Affairs, the Ambassador led officials and members of Team Thailand offices and their families to pay homage to His Majesty the King and to give an oath to be a good official and to serve the country to the best of their ability.
Earlier this month on 10 July, the Royal Thai Embassy organised a charity concert by Suanplu Chorus at St. Lukes Church in London to raise over £7,000 for 3 women organisations in the UK to help uplift living standards of deprived women and girls. Spouses of Team Thailand officials and members of the Thai community put their efforts and spirits of volunteers to help prepare food and drinks for guests at the concert, as well as to manage the coordination and correspondences with all parties to make sure that the concert was a success.
