The Thai Ambassador to the UK hosted lunch in honour of Asst. Prof. Boonserm Premthada who won the 2019 Royal Academy Dorfman Award for Architecture. The ceremony was hosted at the Royal Academy of Arts on 13 May 2019. The Royal Academy Dorfman Award in architecture. It is awarded to an architect is given to an architect who has outstanding works on the recognition of the future of architecture with due consideration of geographical and socio-political challenges.
 

Asst. Prof. Boonserm was selected from four finalists nominated for the Royal Academy Dorfman from his 3 outstanding architectural designs in Thailand, namely Kantana Film and Animation Institute, the Wine Ayutthaya, and the Elephant World project in Surin Province.  He believes that an architecture is the physical creation of an atmosphere that serves to heighten man’s awareness of his natural surroundings.
