Ambassador of Thailand’s Visit to Wales

On 8 September 2023, H.E. Mr. Thani Thongphakdi, Ambassador of Thailand, met with the Rt. Hon. Mark Drakeford MS, First Minister of Wales, to strengthen relations and cooperation between Thailand and Wales. Both sides exchanged views on ways to further enhance collaboration in various areas such as trade and investment, clean and renewable energy as well as student exchanges. The Ambassador also expressed his appreciation to the Welsh Government for supporting the Thai community and businesses in Wales.

During the visit, the Ambassador also met with The Rt. Hon. Bablin Molik, Mayor of Cardiff, and Mr. Paul Clark, Director of the Chamber of Commerce, to how to enhance trade and investment cooperation between Thailand and Wales in various sectors.
